By presenting a bad option, you stop being afraid of it. After this fantasy, stretching is immediately easier. At least I tested it myself, and it works – as soon as you imagine how you fall, the muscles immediately release. At the same time, if you scroll through the options for safety net, then it works worse. Probably because the brain is more important about the idea of ​​the threat, and not about the likely solution. This is an interesting psychological trick that confirms that the main thing for stretching is to remove fear – it is he who constrains the muscles.

It is better to train the twine in such a place, and in such a position that the subconscious mind will perceive as not dangerous. This means that it is best to do this on the floor, in a place where there is something nearby to rest on the body, what to grab onto, and what to push off from if you start falling or make an awkward movement. Any insurance that will “calm” the psyche, reduce the risk of injury, will help relax muscles from convulsive contraction due to an unusual posture.

When, during the split, “he does not let him go further” – the reason is precisely the reflex tension of the muscles, and not that the muscles allegedly lack length. The muscles contract as if by themselves, against your will. And it is usually difficult to believe that such a hard programming is possible, it is difficult to believe that they themselves shrink and do not obey commands.
